Double Page Spread - "M" Magazine

For my double page spread in general I stuck to the basic concept of 2/3 of the page is an image which draws the main focus, while the other 1/3 is written content.

In general I was pleased with the final outcome as it follows the most important conventions of a double page spread while I have still managed to put my own unique style on the page.

Contents - "M" Magazine

Of the three this was the most difficuilt to create. The reason this is because it is difficuilt to make all of the pictures, headings and page numbers blend into one page without it looking disjointed. Overall I was pleased with the final result as orginally the pictures were all very different and after editing them they look like they fit together as they all follow a similar style.

It was important that the style from the cover continued throughout the magazine and therefore I used the same colour scheme and this made it more difficuilt to ensure that the images looked as if they fit in with the rest of the page.

The one technical problem I had was when I converted the file from .PSD to .JPG the quality of the middle image suffered and U haven't been able to restore the quality fully.

Front Cover - "M" Magazine

This is the front cover I created for my magazine. It was important to me that my magazine targetted a younger audience by having a very modern style. I tried to create this style by using as fewer colours as possible whilst making making minor alterations to my pictures to make them stand out from the rest of the magazine better. I feel by using two artists on the cover it will attract a wider audience and also give the audience a better insight into what the magazine will contain. In addition these two artists will be of the same genre it makes it clear what kind of person this magazine would be attracting.

I created this magazine with the feedback I got from my questionnaire and therefore I made this for the younger generation who is interested mainly in Dance/Pop, which is why I chose to mention both Lady GaGa and Calvin Harris on the cover as these are two artists that come directly under this genre of music.
